In Honor Of Kanye West's Birthday, Here's The Time He Blew Jay-Z's Mind During The Making Of The Black Album

Another one of my favorite YouTube videos ever.  Kanye West showing Jay-Z beats he made for The Black Album.  Including “Lucifer” which is one of the best songs on the album.  Kanye turns 38 today.  38!  Kinda hard to believe that the back-pack wearing rapper/producer who once said, “Mayonnaise colored Benz, I push Miracle Whips” is approaching 40.  Not only that but he’s married with a kid and another kid on the way. But behind everything (the Kardashian wife, the ego, the Taylor Swift thing, the Beck thing, calling himself a God and anything else non-musically that has brought Kanye attention) the dude is still AWESOME at making music.  One of the best ever.  Especially in the early days when that YouTube video is from.  His career is one of the most fascinating things music has ever seen.  Sure, I’m a little obsessed with Kanye but if you don’t like College Dropout then we can’t be friends.  Simple as that.
